University of Memphis
Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
The Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Memphis was the first sorority chartered on our campus in 1947. Over the past seventy-seven years, we have cultivated a sisterhood that embodies the four points of our diamond: sisterhood, service, knowledge, and character. Our sisters are actively involved in campus life, holding leadership positions in student organizations, participating in community service projects, and striving for academic excellence. We take pride in our strong tradition of sisterhood, where lifelong friendships are formed, and personal growth is celebrated. At the Gamma Eta Chapter, we live by our motto, We Live for Each Other, and continuously work to create a nurturing and empowering space for all our members. We look forward to welcoming new sisters and sharing the abundant opportunities that Alpha Delta Pi has to offer.
