University of Memphis

Welcome!

At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.

Representing the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, it is with great honor that I extend a warm welcome to our official website! I am Kennedy Funk, currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing for Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Memphis.

After receiving my bid in 2021, ADPi quickly became my home away from home! I never expected my college experience to include Greek life, but Alpha Delta Pi won my heart during recruitment! I felt the connection I wanted from each genuine conversation with my sisters. A connection that hasn’t wavered over the last four years! I’ve never met a group of women so kind, determined, and yet so incredibly funny. These women push me to be a better version of myself. I cannot help but admire every single girl I have the privilege of getting to call my sister!

Our sisters embody unwavering sisterhood, inspirational service, exceptional knowledge, and radiant character— the four pillars of our sisterhood. In every Alpha Delta Pi, you’ll find a friend to share laughter, a sister to learn from, a dependable shoulder, a sympathetic ear, a wise word of counsel, and a hand to hold. Yet, ADPi is more than a group of sincere, intelligent, beautiful, and empowering women; it is a welcoming space that promotes personal growth, goals and dreams, and the foundational values of Alpha Delta Pi.

Our open motto, “We Live For Each Other,” exemplifies the essence of the sisterhood shared among every Alpha Delta Pi. Each sister endeavors to be a well-rounded woman while encouraging her fellow sisters to realize their full potential. This chapter serves as a platform for opportunity and encouragement, propelling our members to become outstanding leaders, scholars, and contributors within U of M’s campus and the Memphis community.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our chapter and the women who make this organization truly special. Feel free to explore our website further, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments!

Loyally,

Kennedy Funk
